Wake up time was at 5am this morning. He slept pretty good last night only waking up once to go to the bathroom. Boy does he move around a lot when he’s sleeping. He had some breakfast and we decided to head out for a walk around 8:00am to beat the heat.
We headed to a park that has a lot of fountains. He loves to pick up any spare debris and toss it in. We would lift him up and he enjoyed the feel of the spray.
They have all these gulley’s running all through the town and we found some with some moving water. So he found plenty of sticks and other stuff to throw in and watch as it sailed down the stream.
As we were walking we were approached by 2 ladies, one of whom spoke English. We gave her our standard spiel of being tourists. After a few minutes of talking, she proceeded to tell us she is a Jehovah’s Witness. Yes 7000 miles from home and they are still ringing the doorbell. Only today we had no dogs to send to the door. But they were nice enough and soon said there goodbyes.
We headed back to the hotel and met up with Jeanette and she informed us that we would be heading to Almaty by train, although we don’t know when yet. It leaves in the evening and travels the 10 hours overnight and you arrive in Almaty in the morning. It should be an adventure but it may be good practice for the plane.
The meeting was cut short when Lukas pulled down his pants and that was our cue to rush him back to the room.
He is eating well and raising Cain about taking a nap. Meanwhile mama and papa would just love a nap. Yeah, yeah I know what you’re thinking, “we told you so, we told you so”. Everybody’s an expert.
