Happy Birthday Cousin Marshall

Lukas' big thing these days is going to parties. Almost every day he asks if we can go to a "pardy". He was very excited when he found out we were going to a party and Grandma, Grandpa and cousin Abbie were going to be there. He and Abbie had a great time together playing. They were especially happy when cousin Lynda let the three standard poodles join the party.

Playing with friends

Lukas enjoying the nice weather on a lazy Saturday with friends. Two of the neighborhood girls were outside and decided to come over and play with Lukas. The art work is compliments of Lukas. I was told it was a road.

To Infinity and Beyond....

We had a little detour from Build a Bear to Maggie Moos. I had attempted to get him to pick out a Halloween costume at Gymboree when we first got to the mall and he didn't want anything to do with shopping for a costume. However, the Disney store caught his eye and after checking out the Disney character dolls at the entrance he headed straight to the Toy Story section and started shouting,"I want that one, I want that one!!" while pointing to the Buzz Lightyear costume. So, yes we are all set for Halloween. He wanted to put it on in the store but I managed to get him to wait until we got home.

Big Buzz and Little Buzz. Is he happy or what?

Flying around the basement...

And, yes, it has lights that work much to his joy...

After flying around the house for a while he decided to fly on the swing.

He wore it the rest of the day. After dinner he asked if he could go ride his bike, in his costume. Then he wanted to sleep in it. I did convince him to change into his pjs without to much trouble, but I think papa may be in for a fight tomorrow morning because he was talking about wearing it to school.

A date with mommy

After spending the morning doing things around the house Lukas and I headed to the mall for some mommy and Lukas time. He had several gift cards that had been sitting around for a while so we spent the afternoon at the mall. First stop... Build a Bear Workshop to use up the gift cards. This was a first time visit for both of us. First you stuff the bear... Then you wash the bear... Then you dress the bear... and then we pose for the camera...Lukas and Buzz Anton Bear Then Lukas took a picture of Mommy and Joe Flacco Bear (it was a gift for papa) Next stop was Maggie Moos for ice cream Next was a ride on the carousel... And we finished with playing at the fountains... Here he is in action...

Learning fun with Computer Cool School

Watch out for that trash can

Success, they have a sandwich

Go, go, go

Since he has gotten in to playing more with his Fisher Price Cool School computer I bought him some additional games. He now has four classrooms to choose from. His latests favorites are the Sponge Bob and Scooby Doo. He was learning to count by 10s and 2s with the math feature while helping Scooby and Shaggy fix a sandwich snack. The game involved helping the duo capture numbered bags while riding a skateboard. At the end it would tell you how fast you got from 10 to 100 or 2 to 20. I was impressed at how quickly he picked up on the fact that if you skated over the bags with arrows it would speed up the game and if you ran into/over one of the obstacles it slowed the game down. His best score was 2:30.

He also likes the art and field trip features of the games. I am always amazed at what he picks up from these games.

Moving on up to a larger abode

Our pet goldfish Nemo, whom we got at the carnival at the end of July, is still with us. I was beginning to feel guilty about his small living quarters, so, today he is the owner of a new, larger 1.5 gallon home.

The little box, now being used for storage, next to the new mini aquarium was his old home.
