Birthday Party at Game Center
One of Lukas' friends from after care and the neighborhood had his birthday party at a game center. Lukas had a blast playing glow in the dark golf, glow in the dark lazer tag, and riding on the bumper cars. It ends up that his buddy A went to pre-school with a couple of his buddies from t-ball. So it was an extra treat to see N and L again.

Out with the old and in with the new
We finally decided we had enough with our old fridge and decided to take advantage of the tax break and sales on appliances President's Day Weekend. Of course you can't have a new Stainless steel fridge and have the old builder grade gas stove. Then that led to the decision to finally get the overhead microwave we've been talking about for years. We were on a roll and opted to get rid of the noisy dishwasher too.

Trying a new tradition for Valentine's Day by having a pseudo fancy dinner. Lukas thought it was cool to drink his milk out of a fancy glass.

Way to go Luka, 100%
Everyday Lukas comes home from school with a folder containing "graded homework", things they've done in class and communications from his teachers. Today when I was sorting through the folder I found a report from the public school system that went home with all the children. They had a Mathematics Benchmark Assessment done in January and the report was disseminating how the county did as a whole by grade level and then how Lukas did in comparison.
I always said he was a problem solver and he has always seemed to excel in the numbers area; now I have confirmation. We couldn't be more proud of our little Kaz Kid. He scored 100% which was 5% above the average for Kindergartners in our county. You are Rockstar Awesome Luka!
