On June 12th Lukas' school held their Pre-School Graduation. Hopefully just the first of many!

His first set of graduation pictures.

His grand entrance, pointing to someone in the audience. If this is how he is at pre-school graduation I can only imagine what we are in store for at his High School graduation...

Time to head home ...

Well, all good things must come to an end. We had a great time at the Tradewinds in St. Pete's Beach, Florida and meeting everyone at Kazapalooza. Our flight home wasn't until after lunch so we slept in, had a leisurely morning and fed the fish before checking out and heading to the airport. We had a nice lunch in the airport and then headed to the little play area next to our gate that Lukas had spotted when we arrived. Of course he had to try every single piece out and talk to everyone around him.

Chatting with a young hispanic woman...he picked up on the fact she was talking in spanish and I heard him say, "ola". I think she was a bit surprised.

St. Pete's Beach Day 4...the big slide,finally!

We finally let Lukas try out the big 3 story high water slide on the beach. I wasn't sure if we would be willing to climb all the way up by himself or not. He didn't hesitate to start up the steep ladder but hesitated slightly as he approached the top when he turned around and looked down. Once he got to the top he needed a little coaching to get started. Guess things looked a little different at the top!

THE BIG SLIDE

GETTING READY, MAYBE...

OK, I'M GOING TO REALLY DO IT...

AAAAYHHH, HERE I COME....

THAT WAS FUN!!!!!

St. Pete's Beach Day 4...just hanging out

We scheduled a free day after Kazapalooza to just hang out and have some fun family time before heading home to the hustle and bustle of our weekly routine. First stop of the day was the beach to try out the sand pail and shovel that came with our Kazapalooza goodie bag.

Time to wash off in the water and swim with daddy...

Just having fun in the water...

After some lunch we headed to the swimming pool. I was pleased to find the day before that Lukas was feeling more confident with swimming in deeper water. We spent a lot of time with him swimming between me and the steps on Saturday. The Family pool doesn't really have a shallow end. Once you get off the steps it was about 4 to 4 1/2 feet deep. For Lukas it was sink or swim. He spent some time today swimming to daddy so I got some video of him swimming.

While there we met up with some other families. Lukas had a great time playing with Ryland.

Spraying Ryland's parents with the water shooter from the goodie bag.

Ryland was kind enough to share his water toys with Lukas. Lukas was especially greatful that he had an extra pair of goggles because mommie forgot to pack his. Trading goggles and swimming to Wayne.

We finished the day off by dining at the upscale restaurant in our building. On Sundays children eat free, yeah! Of course we had to wear our pirate gear from the night before. He entertained himself by coloring until dinner arrived.
