Outing with friends and family at Gaylord on the Potomac

What better activity between Christmas and New Year's than to make a family outing to the ICE Exhibit at the Gaylord on the Potomac grounds in National Harbor, Maryland. The hotel isn't quite as spectacular as the one in Nashville or Dallas but still impressive. The ICE exhibit was quite impressive as you can somewhat see by the photos below. They don't quite do it justice. Our tour time was right smack in the middle of Lukas' normal naptime which is apparent in some of the photos. I made it a point to give him a morning nap but he was still tired in the afternoon. He had a great time with his cousins and Aunt Debbie.

Aunt Deb and Lukas waiting in line to enter the exhibit

Right before you enter the exhibit they provide everyone with Parkas to wear over your personal coat. They keep the exhibit at 5-9 (f) degrees. Some opted to make do with their own down coats. Lukas shedded his half way through the exhibit but I had him bundled up in his snow suit so he was ok. Here we all are before entering all bundled up.

As I said, Lukas was a little tired.

Where's Lukas?

There he is having a meltdown among the penguins...

Ok, I'm better, let's hit the ice slides.

Mama's turn
