First official cookout and bike ride

3 August 2009

Yesterday we ventured out to the Priest's for a cookout. Their granddaughter, Eliza, who is almost 3 was there and they got along really well. He was quite sociable with everyone and even let Bob and J toss him around. Fortunately for us it wore him out. After a visit from Aunt Cheryl at home he had a bite to eat, a bath and then fell asleep by 7:30 watching tv.

We had lots of fun playing with the bubble maker Aunt Cheryl brought us and liked the sticker books too!

We slept better last night but woke up earlier than usual. I will take 6am instead of 5am though. After breakfast we went outside and took the tricycle for a spin around the neighborhood. We met our neighbor, Miss Marianne but were not in a very talkative mood. He enjoyed his bike ride and then decided he wanted to get in the car for a ride. Meanwhile, Mama and Papa adjusted his car seat in Papa's car. He didn't want to get out of the car and eventually decided he would try driving.

We finally managed to get him inside and he and Papa played catch with Gracie, the german shepherd. I think Gracie is feeling a little needy. She doesn't usually car for playing ball but jumped right in this morning. They are currently playing ball outside. Lukas keeps popping in to tell Mama all about it, in Kazak of course.

Enjoy the photos,
