On Monday, Oct 5th Lukas finally made it to the dentist to have that molar looked at. The dentist took a quick peek around and said,"that molar needs to come out as soon as possible." The didn't have any openings within the next 2 weeks so we were put on the priority waitlist. We got a call on Wed afternoon that they had an opening Thursday morning. Short story, versed, nitrous oxide, novacaine, molar out and back in time for our afternoon nap. Even with the meds he didn't like the novacaine shots but was sedated enough not to fight Dr. Dave. He didn't complain at all after words. Ended up it was a good thing we got it out when we did because the part under the gum was completely rotted. They were shocked he hadn't complained about it hurting. We need to schedule an appt to get a spacer until his adult molar comes in and get the many cavaties Dr. Dave found taken care of.
Oct 10th cousin Ashley babysat while we went to another wedding. My best friend's niece got married in D.C. I am an "adopted" member of the family. It was nice to have a night out to ourselves and not have to worry about what Lukas was getting into at the reception like the weekend before.
Lukas and I spent the previous week baking for the brunch to follow his baptism on Oct 11th. It was quite the crowd back at the house after words. I thought I may have made to much food but there wasn't much left once everyone was gone.
Enough chit chat...here is the recap in photos.
