More Photos from Little League Day at Oriole Park

Here are the photos from the Little League Parade around the field at Camden Yards before the game.

MUDCATS MAKE THEIR WAY AROUND THE FIELD...

THE SYKESVILLE MUDCATS AFTER THE PARADE

It's going to be a long season....

The first game of the season was quite entertaining. For those of you who aren't familiar with Tball rules, they don't keep score and everyone gets to bat each inning. The team in the outfield rotate positions with each batter. They play for about an hour. Here is a replay in photos.

The bookends of the team Lukas "aka Luka" (#1) and Lucas (#10)

Batter up, Lukas is the lead off batter

Looks like a pro waiting to run to second...looks can be deceiving though

Look at me mom!

Waiting on 3rd base

Time to play in the field.

Lukas playing 3rd base. Love the look.

In the outfield

The uniforms are a little on the big side. The pants are about the only thing that really fit. The socks come half way up his thigh; they look more like adult tube socks. When the game started Lukas had his pants all the way down over his socks. As the game proceded you will see that he was checking out his various options for how to wear his uniform.

Playing first...socks up, pants all the way down.

Nope, let's try socks up, pants up tucked in socks...

Nope, let's try socks down, pants up....Henry says,"No,no,no,that's not how you wear your uniform."

Nope, that's not right either, let's go back to pants down. Time out while we wait for Lukas to rearrange his uniform yet again!

YES, I THINK IT IS GOING TO BE A LOOOOONG SEASON

Double Header

First up...Promotion day for Martial Arts. Lukas was promoted to Camoflauge belt. Of course my camera decided to act up when Lukas got his turn to break the board. Fortunately our neighbor's son is in Lukas' class and she took one for me.
Getting a little pre class chat with Mr. Parsons Showing off his new belt

We had a quick bite to eat and then it was off to T-ball practice. Getting some pointers from Coach James

Swing and miss...

Nailed this one out past 2nd base.

FIRST T-BALL PRACTICE OF THE SEASON A little team banter with team mate Lucas. Naturally the two with the same name had to gravitate towards each other.

Coach Trevor explaining the bases to the team. The team has one little girl and the rest boys.

Lining up to practice grounders and catching.

He couldn't wait to put the batting helmet on. Of course once he reached 1st base he wanted to take it off. I think it is going to be a long season if this is how we focus during the game.

A little live action for you.
