Cabin fever is setting in big time

Lukas, where are you going?
The neighbors after the dogs

Mikaela decided to check out the neighbors back yard and Lukas followed after her. They both made it around to the other side.

Later in the day we went out to get some exercise and play with Ryan and Chloe

This is hard work

The kids have put the big mountains of snow to good use. They have created slides out of them.

JUMP!

The aftermath and dig out

When we awoke Thursday morning it looked like someone had laid a white sheet over the existing snow. A beautiful scene but daunting clean-up task that awaited.

If you look closely you can see where our neighbor managed to get out in his big suburban. Not much else is getting out this morning! The back view from the basement door The back view from the deck. Our fence is 4 ft tall with 5 ft posts. As you can see the fence is almost completely buried. View from our end of the street looking up towards the main road later in the day. The only path thus far is the one the neighbors have made with the snowblowers passing them back and forth down the street. View from the street looking down over the neighborhood The house after Wayne dug us out. God bless him!

They call it snowmaggedon or snowpacolyse

Here is some video of the storm in Eldersburg, Maryland. These really don't do it justice. They were taken during the middle of the day. Not sure why they appear black in the post but if you click on them they work.
