Yeah, I got to swim in the pool!!!!

We arrived back from Orlando Wednesday evening. It was an early night because we all were exhausted. Thursday proved to be another winner of a day so Lukas finally got to go swimming in the pool. He spent most of the day in it. We did manage to get him to come upstairs for lunch and warm-up. His lips were blue and his teeth were chattering but he wasn't leaving the pool anytime soon. He's just to cool with his shades...

He is quite the little swimmer with his float. He starts lessons in March.

Next stop...Animal Kingdom with Kevin

Day two disney adventure found us feeling a little better from our colds and a beautiful day to be at the parks. We packed up the car,got a quick photo of Lukas in front of the Wilderness Lodge totem pole and headed to Animal Kingdom to meet up with our nephew Kevin. He is doing an internship there so we had our own personal tour guide. Nothing like making him go to his place of work on his day off! Thanks Kev! Lukas is looking at his newly acquired Disney watch Our personal tour guide greets us at the entrance to Animal Kingdom We were going to do the Safari but the wait was long and Lukas was a little cranky on Day 2. He hasn't napped since we've been in Florida and I think two days in a row at Disney was just a bit too much for him at this point in time. So we opted for the nature walk, a train ride and the petting area instead which was just fine for him. Fish on the Nature Walk CAMP MICKEY AND MINNIE Meeting Chip and Dale This is how Lukas passed the time waiting to meet Thumper and Miz Bunnie We couldn't leave without seeing Pooh and gang. Thank goodness Kevin was with us because they were no longer at Camp M&M and we would have never found them on our own. Lukas wasn't too sure about Eeyore after he rested his hoof on his head He liked Tigger though

Hello Florida

Despite the larger than predicted snow that arrived Saturday morning we made it to the airport and arrived safely in warm, rainy Florida only about an 1 hour behind schedule. We almost didn't make it out of our neighborhood due to the snow. It was suppose to be a dusting but was about 3 inches thick when we headed out. The drive to the airport was slow and a bit scarry and I don't scare easily in snow! They had to de-ice the plan before we could leave. It was quite the operation with planes lined up and getting foamed down by guys on cherry pickers. From Lukas' perspective they were spraying chocolate milk on the plane. Interesting de-icing technique;)

Inspite of it being overcast at least it is about 30-40 degrees warmer here. It was about 13 degrees when we left Baltimore. This flight with Lukas was a far cry, literally, from the last time we flew with him. He did quite well as far as I am concerned for a 4 year old. The passengers around us even commented on how good he was. Whew!

The water is to cold to swim in and it is overcast today but Lukas needed to burn off some energy so we went for a walk on the beach. Enjoy the photos and videos.

Take that ocean!

Score, yeah!!!

Playing on the beach

What to do at the beach if it is too cold to swim....
